Delhi

Lotus Temple at DelhiDelhi a historic site where great empires rose and fell before the dawn of history, where citadelsof emperors appeared and disappeared, a city of mysterious eternity whose whose old ruine proclaim a majestic and imperial past and whose present pulsates vibrantly with the ever flowing life force of India. Sprawling along the banks of the river Yamuna, Delhi can be clearly divided into two. The old Delhi or the walled city with narrow lanes and over crowded Bazars and the New Delhi which was built by the British when they transfered their administrative capital from Calcutta to New Delhi. Delhi has a history spreading over 4000 years and this is what makes it even more attractive. The numerous historical monuments and the remanants of the past have facsinated one and all.
