Delhi a historic site where great empires rose and fell before the dawn of history, where citadelsof emperors appeared and disappeared, a city of mysterious eternity whose whose old ruine proclaim a majestic and imperial past and whose present pulsates vibrantly with the ever flowing life force of India. Sprawling along the banks of the river Yamuna, Delhi can be clearly divided into two. The old Delhi or the walled city with narrow lanes and over crowded Bazars and the New Delhi which was built by the British when they transfered their administrative capital from Calcutta to New Delhi. Delhi has a history spreading over 4000 years and this is what makes it even more attractive. The numerous historical monuments and the remanants of the past have facsinated one and all.

The city of Taj, Agra was the second most imporatnt city during the Mughal period after Delhi. Being the capital city for Mughals for many years Agra is equally beautiful in terms of historical monuments. The epitome of love Taj Mahal is the main attraction of the city. The invincible Agra red fort is as majestic and huge as it could have been. This fort was built by Akbar and was the source of inspiration for the Delhi Red Fort. The architecture and the beauty of the Taj is unparalled in the world. Taj is one of the most visited and most photographed world heritage monuments in the world. Agra displays a fine example of Indo-Islamic arichitectural style and not to forget the gardens which add to the attraction of this city.

The pink city of Jaipur presides over the vast fascinating desert of Rajasthan. The city, surrounded by rugged hills and crowned by a formidable fort has numerous palaces, mansions and gardens. Jaipur was founded in 1727 when Maharaja Jai Singh shifted his capital from Amber to this place. Jaipur cleraly dipalys the art and skills of the craftsmen who worked on the place to create one of the most beautiful cities of its time. Jaipur is the gateway to the other tourist destinations in Rajasthan. Jaipur exemplifies the character of the state and its people. Jaipur is also home to exquisite handicrafts, beautiful textile prints, precious and semi precious gems and stones.
This used to be the royal summer resort of the rulers of Bharatpur. It served as the second capital of the region. It is dotted with a number of forts, palaces and gardens--well known for their spectacular architectural splendour. The gardens have beautiful tinking fountains and the aura exudes a majestic Mughal style. The palaces worth visit are Gopal Bhavan and Suraj Bhavan.
