The region is known for the best riding camels in the world. The monuments display some of the finest creations of Rajput civilisation. In southern Rajasthan is located a the city of lake, Udaipur. Serene and the pristine beauty of this place makes this one of the most romantic places in India. The white marble palaces, placid blue lakes and a gridle of green hills are in contrast to the battle scarred fortress towns of the state. One can take a short break from Udaipur to the historic Chittaurgarh. Allow yourself a day or two to this place and drive through the Aravalli hills which offers delightful glimpse of rural Rajasthan. The Kumbhalgarh fort and Ranakpur are two magnificent sights from Udaipur.
