Photography Contest
A photography contest to win a free vacation to the Golden triangle of Delhi-Jaipur-Agra. The winner gets to travel to all three destinations and soak in their splendor, enjoy Delhi's historic monuments, Jaipur's heritage sites and Agra's wondrous Taj Mahal and of course you are welcome to bring your camera along.

What we are looking for
India defies description and when words are not enough pictures often do the trick. We invite all those who love photography and have visited India or live here, to send us their favourite photograph on India.

India is too complex, too vast-with the modern and the most ancient coexisting side by side. This country has the greatest diversity in the world. Inexpressibly lyrical and abundantly poetic, it has been a photographer's dream ever since photography was developed. We invite you to try and capture the essence of its people and the poignancy of locations that have existed since time immemorial. India has been captured in many moods, we are looking for a photograph that protects the dignity of those in it, that captures unobtrusively the ordinary, a photograph that encapsulates the ripples, rhythms, ebbs and flows of everyday life in Bharat. Eloquent, timeless images that capture the sublimity in the mundane--from the most ancient village traditions to the maddening pulsations of her modern cities. We were looking for uncliché, timeless images, like a living time capsule, a picture unencumbered by definition, one that is a mirror to the way things are, one that has freshness and intrinsic strength.

You have full creative license to choose your very own subject. Some of our recommendations include India's awe-inspiring landscape, rich cultural heritage, wondrous monuments and architecture and its diversely interesting people.

Be as creative as you will, photograph India's breathtaking mountains and desert scenes, the opulent architecture of Mughal India to life in the villages, it's magical forts and palaces, its tribes and camel fairs, its holy rivers and humble ascetics, the haunting beauty of the Himalayas and the Buddhist monasteries nestled therein, its rolling hills and undulating country sides, roads that cut through hills and hamlets. The skyscrapers that dot its cities, the hidden lagoons in its Malabar coast, its dances and traditions, choose your own colours and composition, but make it intuitive and creative.

Terms and Conditions
1) Anyone from any part of the world is welcome to enter the contest.
2) Since the pictures will be judged every month, you can send your picture to us before the 15th of the current month.
3) Each photograph must be original, authentic, unpublished, the sole property of the entrant, and not previously submitted in any other contest.
4) Your personal information, name, address, phone number and e-mail address should be neatly printed on the back of the photograph.
5) The submissions should be mailed to - info@tourism-india.com

* The winner will get a complimentary trip to the Golden Triangle of Delhi-Jaipur-Agra. their names will also be put up on our website for the entire month, getting them publicity and giving them credit.
