Hassan – Sravanabelagola - Mysore

Morning drive 5hrs via the Jain temple at Sravanabelagola to Mysore. On arrival check into hotel . In the afternoon visit the Nandi Temple on Chamundi Hill with nice views over Mysore. Overnight at the Hotel .

Morning visit the Maharajah’s Palace and the Devarajah fruit and flower market. In the afternoon visit SriRangapatanam, 30 minutes drive from Mysore – Tipu Sultan’s garden palace. Return to Mysore for shopping and then enjoy the illuminated palace which only happens on Sunday evenings. Overnight at Hotel .

Mysore – Ooty – Coonoor

Morning drive 4hrs into the Nilgiri Hills to Ooty. Visit the Botanical gardens and the old British buildings of Ooty and continue on one hour to Coonoor. On arrival check into "The Tryst" a peaceful Home stay tucked next to the Carolina Tea Estate. This is a much more pleasant location than the centre of Ooty. Overnight at The Hotel.

Morning sightseeing of the historic area of Fort Cochin, including the St Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets, Mattancherry Palace, Indo- Portuguese museum, Spice markets and the Jew Town area ( the synagogue is closed on Fri and Sat)

Afternoon free and take a one hour sunset cruise on the harbour. In the evening watch a demonstration of Kalaripayyat, traditional Keralan martial arts. Overnight at the Hotel.

Cochin – Alleppey

A leisurely start to the day and then drive 1.5hrs to Alleppey to board your private Houseboat at 12 noon. You will cruise through the canals and lagoons around Alleppey, enjoying the peaceful backdrop of palm trees and green landscapes. You can observe the daily activities of the local people. The crew will prepare you delicious Keralan meals on board the Houseboat. Overnight on board – the Non Air con boats have fans in the bed room and mosquito net over the bed. There is also the option for Air con in the bedroom.

Alleppey – Kumarakom

After breakfast on board you will disembark the houseboat at 9.30am and the driver will meet you and drive 1hr to Kumarakom, check into the resort, overlooking the Backwaters. Rest of the day free to relax.

Morning drive 2.5hrs, via Padmanabapuram Teak Palace to Kanyakumari, where the 3 oceans meet. In the afternoon take a short boat ride over to the Tiruvallavur Statue and the Vivekenanda Memorial. Visit the Gandhi Memorial, where his ashes were kept before being immersed into the ocean. Watch the sunset over the ocean. Overnight at the Hotel.

Morning drive via the World Heritage Temples at Darasuram and Gangakondacholapuram. Continue onto Chidambaram, the temple will re open at 4pm, so you can visit the Nataraja Temple and then drive 2hrs to Pondicherry. On arrival check into the Hotel.
