Among the backwaters of Kerela, Kumarakom is a unique
backwater destination situated on the banks of Vembanad

Day 1 Cochin
Arrive Cochin. Meet and assistance at the railway
station / airport by our representative and transfer
to your hotel. Half day sightseeing by boat, visiting
the Dutch Palace, Synagogue, Chinese Fishing Nets,
St. Francis Church, Bolghatty Palace, etc
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2 Munnar
Early morning proceed to Munnar. Arrive by noon (4
hours drive - 130 kms). Check into your hotel. Afternoon
sightseeing of Munnar. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3 Munnar
Complete day at Munnar visiting important places like
Pothamedu, Devikulam, Pallivasal, Attukal, Mattupetty
etc.
Overnight at hotel.
Munnar is situated 1600 m above sea level, which was
the summer resort of the British Government in South
India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns,
winding lanes and holiday facilities makes this a
popular hill station. Anamudi, the highest peak in
South India (2695 m) is situated here.
Day 4 Periyar
Early morning, depart for Periyar (Thekkady). On your
way, you will be visiting Idukki Dam. Arrival by noon
(110 kms - 3 ½ hours). Check into your hotel.
Afternoon sightseeing of Periyar.
Overnight at Hotel.
Periyar wild life sanctuary is one of the largest
wildlife reserves in India, which is more popular
as a tiger reserve. A boat ride on the splendid Periyar
Lake is the best way to experience the sanctuary.
It is also famous for tea and cardamom plantations.
Day 5 Periyar
Complete day at Periyar, visiting Periyar wild life
Sanctuary, Murikkady, Pandikuzhi, etc. Boat cruises
on the Periyar Lake.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 Kumarakom
Early morning, depart for Kumarakom and arrive at
noon (130 kms - 4 hours). Check into your hotel. Afternoon
visiting neighboring places. Overnight at hotel. Kumarakom
is a unique backwater destination situated on the
banks of Vembanad Lake. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is
a favorite haunt of migratory birds from across the
world, which makes it a renowned bird watching center.
It is also a center for houseboat cruises.
Day 7 Cochin
After lunch, proceed for Cochin and arrive in the
evening ( 90 kms). Check into your hotel. Spend the
evening for last minute shopping.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 8 Cochin
Morning is free for your own activities. Transfer
to railway station / airport for your destination.
